After a very close vote and a lot of passionate discussion amongst the judges we are proud to announce that Canadian gothic death rockers THE NEW JACOBIN CLUB have scooped the bCFM Sunday Rockshow Album of the Year 2022 with their album 'Empire of Dis'. The album was praised for its scope, musicianship, atmosphere and quality of song writing and was described as a 'must hear'. US space rockers VOLTAGEHAWK came in second place with their excellent album 'Electric Thunder', and Israeli alt-rockers LADY SILVER finished third with their album 'Circus Pop'

The award for Album of the Year by a local (Bristol area) artist was taken by psyche-punkers ACID CLAW and their albim 'Silly Heart', which impressed the judges with is off the wall approach and genre transending eclectic sound. c) In December each year the long list is cut down to a short list of 12 based on the judges feedback and listener reaction to the album tracks featured on the shows. The shortlist is compiled to give a representative balance so as many sub genres of rock are featured as possible.
